Answer:

The average force exerted by the water on the ground is 17.53 N.

Explanation:

Given;

mass flow rate of the water, m' = 135 kg/min

height of fall of the water, h = 3.1 m

the time taken for the water to fall to the ground;

h = ut + \frac{1}{2}gt^2\\\\h = 0 +  \frac{1}{2}gt^2\\\\t = \sqrt{\frac{2\times 3.1}{9.8} } \\\\t = 0.795 \ s

mass of the water;

m = m't\\\\m = 135 \ \frac{kg}{min} \ \times \ 0.795 \ s \ \times \ \frac{1 \ \min}{60 \ s} \ = 1.789 \ kg

the average force exerted by the water on the ground;

F = mg

F = 1.789 x 9.8

F = 17.53 N

Therefore, the average force exerted by the water on the ground is 17.53 N.

The Earth is constantly spinning on its axis, like you might spin a basketball on your finger. It is this spinning of the Earth
mash [69]

<u>Answer:</u>

The spinning of the earth around its own axis causes day and night.

<u>Explanation:</u>

Earth has two types of motions. It spins around its own axis causing day and night every 12 hours and completes a rotation in 23.93 hours that make a full day. The part of the earth that faces sunlight during spinning experiences day and the other part has night.  It also rotates around the sun and completes one rotation in 365 days that makes a year.

Answer:

The answer to your question is  Equation  vf = gt;  vf = 29.6 m/s

Explanation:

Data

gravity = 3.7 m/s²

vf = ?

time = t = 8 s

Formula

       vf = vo + gt

Initial speed = 0 m/s

To solve this problem we can use the equations of free fall and just substitute the data.

- Substitution

      vf = 0 + (3.7)(8)

- Simplification

      vf = 29.6 m/s

A circuit with a resistance of 25 ohms is carrying a current of 2
-BARSIC- [3]
The heat developed can be calculated using the power rules as follows:

P = I x V = I^2 x R

First solution is to use the given values of I and R as follows:
P = I^2 x R = (2)^2 x 25 = 4 x 25 = 100 watt

Second solution is to use ohm's law to get V, then substitute to get the power as follows:
V = I x R = 2 x 25 = 50 volts
Power = V x I = 50 x 2 = 100 watt

A hollow cylinder with an inner radius of 4 mm and an outer radius of 25 mm conducts a 4-A current flowing parallel to the axis
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

2.1 × 10⁻⁵ T

Explanation:

Given:

Inner radius, r = 4 mm = 0.004 m

Outer radius, R = 25 mm = 0.025 m

Current, I = 4 A

Distance of the point from the center, a = 17 mm = 0.017 m

μ₀ = 4π × 10⁻⁷ T·m/A

Now,

For the hollow cylinder magnetic field (B) is given as:

B=\frac{\mu_0 I(a^2-r^2)\textup{}}{2\pi a(R^2-r^2)\textup{}}

on substituting the respective values, we get

B=\frac{4\pi\times10^{-7}\times4(0.017^2-0.004^2)\textup{}}{2\pi\times0.017(0.025^2-0.004^2)\textup{}}

or

B = 2.1 × 10⁻⁵ T
