Solve the equation for 0° ≤ x ≤ 90°. Round to the nearest degree. tan^2 B = 4
Anettt [7]

<u>ANSWER</u>

B=63\degree

<u>EXPLANATION</u>

We want to solve the trigonometric equation;

tan^2(B)=4, where 0\degree \le B \le 90\degree.

Taking square root of both sides gives,

tan(B)=\pm \sqrt{4}

tan(B)=\pm 2

Since B is in the first quadrant, we proceed with;

tan(B)=2, because the tangent ratio is positive in the first quadrant.

\Rightarrow B =arctan(2)

\Rightarrow B =63.43\degree.

Correct to the nearest degree,

B =63\degree

Camp Ground A has an area of 300 square yards with a maximum capacity of 25 pup tents. Camp Ground B has an area of 480 square y
Damm [24]

Answer:

40 pup tents

Step-by-step explanation:

Since Ground A has area 300 and maximum capacity is 25 tents, so each tent would take up area of  300/25 = 12 sq yards.

Since Ground B's tents should occupy same area as Ground A's tents (12 sq. yards), the maximum capacity of this tent (480 sq yd) would be:

480/12 = 40 pup tents

This is the maximum capacity.

DURING A REGULAR HALF-HOUR TV SHOW THERE ARE 8 MINUTES OF COMMERCIALS. IF EACH COMMERCIAL IS 0.25 MINUTES LONG HOW MANY COMMERCI
kirza4 [7]
Ok so there are 8 min of commercials and if each commercial is .25 minutes. what I did was 8 × 60 to get how many seconds there were. which = 480 and then I did .25 min × 60 and got 15 so I subtracted 15 from 480 and got 7.75
but it says how many commercials so you have to round to the full commercial and you get 8
so I think the answer is 8 or 7.75.
