Answer:

  • Let us assume a body has initial velocity ' u ' and it is subjected to a uniform acceleration ' a ' so that the final velocity be ' v ' after a time interval ' t '. Acceleration is the rate of change of Velocity.Now , by the definition of acceleration , we have :

\large{ \tt{❃ \: a =  \frac{v - u}{t}}}

\large{ \tt{ \dashrightarrow \: at = v - u}}

\large{  \tt{∴ \: v = u + at -  -  -   \tt{ {1}^{st}  EQUATION \: OF \: MOTION}}}

  • And we're done! ☂

Mechanical advantage of a machine is the ratio of the output force over the input force or M=Fo/Fi. Since M=1, Fi=Fo, or the input force is equal to the output force. This means that to raise the refrigerator that weighs 900 N, we need the same input force of 900 N, or Fo=Fi=900 N.

lab safety test Safety goggles and an apron must be worn when handling chemicals labeled corrosive because they:________.
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer:

The terms of biosafety in a laboratory require that the person must not have the eyes and skin exposed.

Explanation:

A corrosive substance is a substance that can damage a surface when they come into contact.

These substances represent a danger in people since they can burn the eyes, the skin, and the inside of the body since the inhalation of gases can burn the respiratory tract.

These chemical burns can be avoided by properly following the biosafety protocol that a laboratory requires the use of masks, goggles, gloves, and an apron or lab coat.

The equations below show the total amount of water in gallons, y, that has flowed through two different types of shower heads af
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

The correct option is option (B)

Explanation:

Given that,

The equation below show the total amount of water in gallons, y that has flowed through two different types of showers heads after x minute.

Type A: y =1.25 x

Type B: y= 2.50 x

So,

The amount of water per minute is =\frac{\textrm{The amount of water}}{\textrm{Time}}

For type A

y =1.25 x

\Rightarrow \frac{y}{x}=1.25

For type B

y =2.50 x

\Rightarrow \frac{y}{x}=2.50

\Rightarrow \frac{y}{x}=2\times 1.25

The amount of  water flowed through Type B is twice that flowed trough type A per minute.

If the mass of an object is 14 lbm, what is its weight, in lbf, at a location where g = 32.0 ft/s2?
mixas84 [53]

Using the formula:

w = m x g ....... eq1

here w is weight of the object.

m is mass of the object, and

g is the acceleration of gravity.

mass, m = 14 lbm (given)

acceleration of gravity, g= 32.0 ft/s^{2}

Now, substituting the values in equation (1):

w = 14lbm x 32.0 ft/s^{2} = 448 lbm ft/s^{2}

since, 1 lbf = 32.174 lbm ft/s^{2}

so, w = 448 x \frac{1}{32.174}

w = 13.924lbf

Hence, the mass of an object is 13.924 lbf.
