The mean of three numbers is 8 two of the numbers are 6 and 11 work out the third number
Andreas93 [3]

Answer:

7

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the number, first multiply 8 by 3, since that is how you find the mean.

8 x 3 = 24 (total)

x + 6 + 11 = 24

x = 24 - 6 - 11

x = 7

Inverse:

7 + 6 + 11 = 24

Mean = 24/3 = 8

Hope this helps!
