British rule in India was a blessing but also a curse. It financed the British Development and expansion into the East, but did so at the expense of the ldian people and their economy.

The British rule in India had mixed blessings. Indians spoke hundreds of different languages, so the introduction of English by the British served to unified Indians with the same language.

2. Greek democracy created at Athens was direct, rather than representative: any adult male citizen over the age of 20 could take part, and it was a duty to do so. The officials of the democracy were in part elected by the Assembly and in large part chosen by lottery in a process called sortition.

3. To be classed as a citizen in fifth-century Athens you had to be male, born from two Athenian parents and over eighteen years old, and complete your military service. Women, slaves, metics and children were not allowed to become citizens.

There is one word to describe the culture in the Middle Ages and that is barbaric. While some countries were better than others at maintaining order and the education of their society it was quite a rough time to exist when people had little to no rights.
