Answer:

Fixation of oxygen occur instead of carbondioxide.

Explanation:

If the stomata remain closed due to water loss, the concentration of carbondioxide decreases and oxygen increases in the leaf because of the fixation of oxygen instead of carbondioxide by rubisco. The plant takes carbondioxide from the atmosphere when the stomata is open so when the stomata is closed there is no other way for getting carbondioxide into the leave so the oxygen is now being fixed by our rubisco enzyme to that five-carbon compound instead of carbon dioxide.

iris [78.8K]

Answer:

The human beings serve as replica/model of the mammals.

Explanation:

 • A mammal is a vertebrate and it has fur, mammary glands (female) and feeds the young ones with milk, a neocortex (region of the brain) and three middle ear bones. This differentiates them from reptiles and birds.
 • All mammals are 'warm blooded' because the body temperature heats the blood.
 • A few mammals like the platypus lay eggs. The mammals are at the top of the food chain.

aivan3 [116]

Answer:

If an inhibitory synapse fires at the same time and at the same distance from the initial segment as an excitatory synapse of the same intensity there will be no changes in the potential in the firing zone.

Explanation:

An excitatory synapse is one capable of depolarizing a cell and boosting the production of action potential, provided it is capable of reaching the threshold of said potential.

On the other hand, an inhibitory synapse is able to hyperpolarize the cell membrane and prevent an action potential from originating, so that they can inhibit the action of an excitatory synapse.

The interaction between two synapses, one excitatory and one inhibitory, -called synapse summation- will depend on the strength that each of them possesses. In this case, the intensity of both synapses being the same, there will be no changes in the membrane potential in the firing zone.
