Answer:

Option C

Step-by-step explanation:

We solve the system of equations by using the Elimination method as follows,

2x-5y=-5\\x+2y=11\\

We multiply the second equation with -2 and then add both the equations  to eliminate the variable x

-2(x+2y=11) \\-2x-4y=-22

so now,

2x-5y=-5\\-2x-4y=-22\\2x+(-2x)-5y+(-4y)=-5+(-22)\\2x-2x-5y-4y=-5-22\\0-9y=-27\\-9y=-27\\y=-27/-9\\y=3

we found the value of y to be y = 3 now we insert this value in any equation of the system either it be the first or the second to calculate the value of x so here goes,

x+2y=11\\x+2(3)=11\\x+6=11\\x=11-6\\x=5\\

so the solution to the system of equations is (5 , 3) not (10 , 5) which is given in the question even though the ordered pair (10 , 5) satisfies the first equation it is not the solution to the system because in the system it has two equations instead of one so (10 , 5) holds true for the first equation not for the second so Option C is your best answer because it atleast makes one of the equations false.

a buret is a tool designed to transfer precise amounts of liquid .A buret initially contains 70.00 millimeters of a solution and
katrin [286]

Let:

Vbu= Volume of the buret

Vbk= Volume of the beaker

A buret initially contains 70.00 millimeters of a solution and a beaker initially contains 20.00 ml of the solution the buret drips solution into the Beaker. each drip contains 0.05 mL of solution, therefore:

x = Number of drips

a = volume of each drip

\begin{gathered} Vbu=70-ax \\ Vbk=20+ax \\ \text{where:} \\ a=0.05 \\ Vbu=70-0.05x \\ Vbk=20+0.05x \end{gathered}

after how many drips will the volume of the solution in the buret and beaker be equal ? Vbu = Vbk:

\begin{gathered} Vbu=Vbk \\ 70-0.05x=20+0.05x \\ \text{Solve for x:} \\ 0.1x=70-20 \\ 0.1x=50 \\ x=\frac{50}{0.1} \\ x=500 \end{gathered}

Please answer this correctly without making mistakes
Monica [59]

Answer:

g=56

Step-by-step explanation:

In similar shapes, corresponding sides are always in the same ratio.

For example,

if the sides in triangle 1 were a and b, and triangle 2 had side lengths c and d, c and a had the same ratios, and b and d had the same ratios

and triangle 1 was similar to triangle 2, the ratio between the sides of the triangles would be

a/c, which is also equal to b/d

What that means is that in this situation, 8/5=g/35.

8/5=g/35

Cross multiply.

(8)*(35)=g*(5)

280=5g

g=56

Which of the following is a binomial?. c2 + c + 6. c2 - 16. -8c. c3 + 4c2 - 12c + 7. Which of the following is a monomial?. c2 +
vlabodo [156]
A monomial has one term, binomial has two terms, trinomial has three terms, and a polynomial has four or more terms.

Therefore, in the first question, c2-16 is the binomial while -8c is the monomial in the second question.

I hope my answer has come to your help. Thank you for posting your question here in Brainly. We hope to answer more of your questions and inquiries soon. Have a nice day ahead!

Find the value of x
balu736 [363]

Equals 180 because the exterior angle in question is equal to the sum of the other two angles in the triangle. In other words, the other two angles in the triangle (the ones that add up to form the exterior angle) must combine with the angle in the bottom right corner to make a 180 degree angle.

-----------------------------------

Add whole numbers.

2x + 1 + 37 + 118 = 180

Add whole number (if there is any).

2x + 38 +118 = 180

Subtract 156 from both sides to have one side have a variable.

2x + 156 = 180

     -156     -156

Divide both sides by 2 because you don't need the whole number with the variable.

2x = 24

---    ----

2       2

You get the answer as 12.

x = 12

Check:

2(12) + 1 + 37 + 118 = 180

24 + 1 + 37 + 118 = 180

25 + 37 + 118 = 180

62 + 118 = 180

180 = 180
