Meredith bought 4 T-shirts and 2 pairs of pants. If x is the cost of one T-shirt and y is the cost of one pair of pants, she’ll
BartSMP [9]

Answer:

The total cost = 4x + 2y

The total cost = 2y + 4x

The total cost = 6x + 4y

The total cost = 4y + 6x

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets explain how to solve the problem

- Meredith bought 4 T-shirts and 2 pairs of pants

∴ The number of T-shirts is 4

∴ The number of pairs of pants is 2

- x is the cost of one T-shirt and y is the cost of one pair of pants

∴ The cost of each T-shirt is x

∴ The cost of each pair pf pants is y

∵ The total cost is the sum of the products of the number of T-shirts

   and the cost of each one and the number of pair of pants and the

   cost of each one

∴ The total cost = (4 × x) + (2 × y)

∴ The total cost = 4x + 2y

- To find the equivalent expression switch the places of x and y

∴ The total cost = 2y + 4x

- Meredith bought 6 T-shirts and 4 pairs of pants

∴ The number of T-shirts is 6

∴ The number of pairs of pants is 4

∴ The total cost = (6 × x) + (4 × y)

∴ The total cost = 6x + 4y

- To find the equivalent expression switch the places of x and y

∴ The total cost = 4y + 6x

G(x)=−2(x+1)(x+7) find the zeros
Makovka662 [10]
When finding zeros, the function has to equal zero. In other words, G(x) = 0.

For three multiplied parts to equal to zero, at least one has to be zero. -2 ≠ 0, but (x+1) or (x+7) can.

So you can equate each of those to zero and find out what the zeros are.

x+1=0
x=-1

x+7=0
x=-7

Thus the answer
x = -1 or -7
