Write an equation in slope-intercept form of the line that passes through the points (-6, -10) and (1,4).
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

y = mx + 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

(x,y)

- Plot each point on a graph

- The line should go from the bottom left (-6,-10) to the top right (1,4)

- Count how many spaces are on the y-axis from -6 to 1 for numerator

- Count how many spaces are on the x-axis from -10 to 4 for denominator

- Positive slope

- Slope = 7/14

- Simplify to 1/2

5y + 10x = 0
y = - 3x

Plz help me the photo is the directions for the problem
enyata [817]
When substituting, you want to take the y value from one equation and plug it into the y variable in the other equation to find the x value. When you find the c value, you plug the number into one of the equations to get your y value.

A neighbor farmer had some chickens. She had 24 feet of wire fencing to
Paraphin [41]

Answer:

A rectangle is defined by its length = L, and its width = W.

So the perimeter of the of the rectangle can be written as:

Perimeter = 2*L + 2*W.

In this case, we want to leave the perimeter fixed, so we have:

24ft = 2*L + 2*W.

Now, we do not have any other restrictions, so to know the different dimensions now we can write this as a function, by isolating one of the variables.

2*L = 24ft - 2*W

L = 12ft - W.

or:

L(W) = 12ft - W.

Such that:

W must be greater than zero (because we can not have negative or zero width).

And W must be smaller than 12ft (because in that case we would have zero or negative length)

Then the possible different dimensions are given by:

L(W) = 12ft - W

0ft < W < 12ft.

Explain the difference between buying and leasing and automobile.
sashaice [31]
When you buy a car you have all the money upfront ready either in cash, check, etc. Leasing is when you have a little bit or most of the money. Because you dont have all of it you pay for the car monthly and pay a little bit more than the actual value of the car as interest for "borrowing" their money since you couldn't afford the entire value of the car upfront. The more money you put down at the time of leasing, the less the interest usually is.
