find two points on a line and subtract the y values over the x values.

\frac{y_{1}- y_{2}  }{x_{1} - x_{2}}

here's an example. let's use the points (2, 4) and (4, 8)

\frac{8-4}{4-2}

simplify.

\frac{4}{2} = \frac{2}{1} = 2

so, the slope for this line would be 2.

i hope this was helpful, have a great day!

You find the slope of the line by using the formula \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1} where x1 and y1 is the first point, and x2 and y2 are the second point.

3. If Earth was 10 times farther away from the sun than it is now, which planet would it be closest to? (Assume all the planets
Rufina [12.5K]
The average of Earth's aphelion and perihelion (nearest and farthest
distances from the sun) is  149,553,262 km.

The average of Saturn's aphelion and perihelion (nearest and farthest
distances from the sun) is  1,426,666,422 km.

That's about 4.6% less than 10-times Earth's number.

The difference is  6.887 x 10⁷ km .  (rounded)
