Joan and Mike's teacher show them a picture of an atom and ask them to identify it using the periodic table. Joan says the atom

is Carbon, but Mike says it is Lithium. Who is right and why? Question 3 options: Mike is right because the atomic mass of lithium is 6. There are 3 protons and 3 electrons in the atom. 3+3=6 Joan is right because the atomic number of carbon is 6. There are 3 protons and 3 electrons in the atom. The atomic number shows the number of protons plus the number of electrons. 3+3=6 Joan is correct because carbon is a neutral atom. There are the same number of protons and electrons in the atom pictured. Mike is correct because the atomic number shows the number of protons in all atoms. There are 3 protons and the atomic number of lithium is 3. Save

choices are:

Mike is right because the atomic mass of lithium is 6. There are 3 protons and 3 electrons in the atom. 3+3=6

Joan is right because the atomic number of carbon is 6. There are 3 protons and 3 electrons in the atom. The atomic number shows the number of protons plus the number of electrons. 3+3=6

Joan is correct because carbon is a neutral atom. There are the same number of protons and electrons in the atom pictured.

Mike is correct because the atomic number shows the number of protons in all atoms. There are 3 protons and the atomic number of lithium is 3.

Li has atomic no. 3 and mass 7. so the correct ans is Mike is correct because the atomic number shows the number of protons in all atoms. There are 3 protons and the atomic number of lithium is 3.

atomic no. is no. of proton only.

atomic mass is the sum of proton + neutron in an atom.

by elimination, right ans: Mike is correct because the atomic number shows the number of protons in all atoms. There are 3 protons and the atomic number of lithium is 3.

Discuss why prokaryotic cells probably appeared before eukaryotic cells
dsp73

Answer:

Prokaryotes are smaller and less developed compared to eukaryotes. Some of them inhabit very primitive environments that resemble earth’s early stages. Endosymbiotic theory states that eukaryotes arose by the endosymbiosis of prokaryotes.

Explanation

By endosymbiont theory, eukaryotic cells arise from prokaryotic cells. Here, the theory shows that eukaryotic ancestors lived in close association with prokaryotes, wherein in some cases, prokaryotes have been engulfed and might have lived inside eukaryotes.

Upon being engulfed by a host cell as undigested prey, these prokaryotes could have been internal parasites of the eukaryotes. But, later on, their relationship becomes mutualistic and these prokaryotes become incorporated as organelles, such as in the case of chloroplasts and mitochondria, which were previously separate prokaryotes

A client enters the emergency department reporting shortness of breath and epigastric distress. what should be the triage nurse'
DerKrebs [107]
Depending on the situation, oxygen will be given and the patient will be instructed to breathe very slowly. If it is a panic attack, medication or a shot may be given to slow breathing and stop the attack. You can prop the patient up so they more easily breathe. Then they will administer oxygen and instruct you to take deep slow breaths. If this is caused by anxiety, further medication may be given. You might be clostrophobic or there might be a lot of dust in the house which would block the moisture in your lungs. This would make you gasp for air. You have a preliminary period of just classroom study before they let you loose on patients. This varies, but 6 wks at a minimum . Don't mean to alarm you but this could be lung leakage or a heart attack symptom. Or you could be suffering from anxiety.
