a) We want to find the probability that Ishaq gets hired.

This will be equal to the quotient between the number of scenarios where Ishaq gets hired (1) and the total number of scenarios (18).

Then this probability is

P = 1/18 = 0.056

b) We want to find the probability where Ishaq does not get hired, we can use the same reasoning as above, this time we will take the quotient between the number of scenarios where Ishaq does not get hired (17) and the total number of scenarios (18).

P = 17/18 = 0.944
