A primary consumer is an organism that feeds on primary producers. Organisms of this type make up the second trophic level and are consumed or predated by secondary consumers, tertiary consumers or apex predators.

A food chain is the sequence of who eats whom in a biological community (an ecosystem) to obtain nutrition. A food chain starts with the primary energy source, usually the sun or boiling-hot deep sea vents. The next link in the chain is an organism that make its own food from the primary energy source -- an example is photosynthetic plants that make their own food from sunlight (using a process called photosynthesis) and chemosynthetic bacteria that make their food energy from chemicals in hydrothermal vents. These are called autotrophs or primary producers.

Next come organisms that eat the autotrophs; these organisms are called herbivores or primary consumers -- an example is a rabbit that eats grass

Can the development of the ability to use language be determined by fossil record
jeyben [28]
A little.

The first perspective that language evolved from the calls of our ancestors seems logical because both humans and animals make sounds or cries. ... Therefore, we resort to the idea that language was derived from gesture (we communicated by gesture first and sound was attached later)

If dietary iodine levels are deficient you would expect that plasma TSH levels be and that plasma thyroxine levels would be
Doss [256]

Answer:

Low,high

Explanation:

Thyroxine is a complex organic compound containing iodine. Thyroxine concentration in the body is kept to the required levels through a negative feedback mechanism. The production of thyroid stimulating hormone is regulated by thyroxine. An increase in thyroxine inhibits the pituitary gland which responds by secreting less thyrotropic hormone. This in turn reduces the activity of thyroid gland leading to a drop in thyroxine production. A low thyroxine level removes the inhibitory influence on the pituitary so that more thyroid stimulating hormone is produced.
