Some of the common ideas shared were farming, ranching, lumbering, shipping, fishing, trading iron or mining. The Southern colonies were self governing.
2nd - Right to bare arms
3rd - Gov. cannot force people to quarter troops in their homes.
7th - Right to jury trial in a civil case
9th - States are not limited to those listed in the constitution (First 8)
10th - Powers not given to the federal gov. are reserved for states.
