If the fraction 396/x-10 is equivalent to -22 , find the value of x? HELLPPP
julsineya [31]

Answer:

33

Step-by-step explanation:

396/x - 10 = -22

add 10 to each side

396/x = -12

multiply both sides by x

396 = 12x

divide both sides by 12

33 = x

Could someone explain/answer these?
julsineya [31]

1)

f(x) = x² + 9                 g(x) = 24 + 4x

f(4) = (4)² + 9               g(-1) = 24 + 4(-1)

     = 16 + 9                         = 24 - 4

    =  25                              = 20

\frac{f(4)}{g(-1)} = \frac{25}{20} = \frac{125}{100} = 1.25

****************************************************************

g(x) = 2ˣ - 4                            f(x) = 4x² - 5x - 5

g(6) = 2⁶ - 4                          f(-5) = 4(-5)² - 5(-5) - 5

     = 64 - 4                                  = 100 + 25 - 5

     = 60                                       = 120

\frac{g(6)}{f(-5)} = \frac{60}{120} = \frac{1}{2} = 0.5

***************************************************************

f(x) = (3x + 7)²

f(1) = (3(1) + 7)²

    = (3 + 7)²

    = (10)²

    = 100

****************************************************************

3xy + 2x² - y³  ; when x = 6 and y = -2

3(6)(-2) + 2(6)² - (-2)³

 -36     +  72   -  (-8)

           36        +  8

                  44

The original sales price of a jacket to the original price is 3:4. The original price is $64 what is the sales price
natka813 [3]
So we need to find a number that has the same ratio to 64 as 3 has to four. We do this by diving 64 into 4:(this is 16): so the two ratios are different by 16. To find the remaining number we multiply  3 by 16: this is 48. So 48 has the same ratio to 64 as 3 has to 4.

And 48 is the answer!
