Answer : The correct option is, 1.86 moles

Solution :

using ideal gas equation,

PV=nRT

where,

n = number of moles of gas = ?

P = pressure of the gas = 1.25 atm

T = temperature of the gas = 307 K

R = gas constant = 0.0821 Latm/moleK

V = volume of gas = 37.5 L

Now put all the given values in the above equation, we get the moles of gas.

1.25atm\times 37.5L=n\times 0.0821L.atm/moleK\times 307K

n=1.86mole

Therefore, the moles of oxygen produced were, 1.86 moles

Answer:

O 2 has a mass of 1.78g

Explanation:

We are at STP and that means we have to use the ideal gas law equation!

P represents pressure (could have units of atm, depending on the units of the universal gas constant)

V represents volume (must have units of liters)

n represents the number of moles

R is the universal gas constant (has units of

L

× a t m

m o l

×

K

)

T represents the temperature, which must be in Kelvins.

Next, list your known and unknown variables. Our only unknown is the number of moles of

O

2

(

g

)

. Our known variables are P,V,R, and T.

At STP, the temperature is 273K and the pressure is 1 atm. The proportionality constant, R, is equal to 0.0821

L

a

t

m

m

l

K

Now we have to rearrange the equation to solve for n

n

To get the mass of

, we just have to use the molar mass of oxygen as a conversion factor:

6. How many moles of water would require 92.048 kJ of heat to raise its temperature from 34.0 °C to 100.0 °C? (3 marks)
scoray [572]

Taking into account the definition of calorimetry, 0.0185 moles of water are required.

Calorimetry

Calorimetry is the measurement and calculation of the amounts of heat exchanged by a body or a system.

Sensible heat is defined as the amount of heat that a body absorbs or releases without any changes in its physical state (phase change).

So, the equation that allows to calculate heat exchanges is:

Q = c× m× ΔT

where Q is the heat exchanged by a body of mass m, made up of a specific heat substance c and where ΔT is the temperature variation.

Mass of water required

In this case, you know:

 • Heat= 92.048 kJ
 • Mass of water = ?
 • Initial temperature of water= 34 ºC
 • Final temperature of water= 100 ºC
 • Specific heat of water = 4.186 \frac{J}{gC}

Replacing in the expression to calculate heat exchanges:

92.048 kJ = 4.186 \frac{J}{gC}× m× (100 °C -34 °C)

92.048 kJ = 4.186 \frac{J}{gC}× m× 66 °C

m= 92.048 kJ ÷ (4.186 \frac{J}{gC}× 66 °C)

m= 0.333 grams

Moles of water required

Being the molar mass of water 18 \frac{g}{mole}, that is, the amount of mass that a substance contains in one mole, the moles of water required can be calculated as:

amount of moles=0.333 gramsx\frac{1 mole}{18 grams}

amount of moles= 0.0185 moles

Finally, 0.0185 moles of water are required.

Anna is working on finding the patterns of demographic variation within North America’s populations. What is Anna working on?
nata0808 [166]

Answer:

I am pretty sure that I know what Anna is working on, given that she wants to find the patterns of demographic variation, is population structure. This structure deals with variations in age, gender, and other qualities of a population, and I believe that is what she wants to find out. So the answer to your question would be that population structures are the patterns of demographic variation.
