Amos Tversky and Daniel Kahneman (1970) are the experts who identified the three key heuristics.  The identified heuristics include representativeness, anchoring and adjustment, and availability heuristics.   Heuristics are mental processes or shortcuts for solving problems. The availability heuristic concentrates on available examples to make decisions.  The availability heuristic relies on examples, and these can lead to wrong conclusions.
