Answer: A wavelength is how long ONE wave is. First divide the distance of the whole diagram by the number of waves. you will get 2m. This is the answer.

The initial volume reading in a graduated cylinder is 30 mL. The mass of an irregular shape of an unknown metal piece is 55.3 g.
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

7.9\frac{gr}{cm^3}

Explanation:

When we put the metal piece in the liquid (which is in the graduated cylinder), how much it goes up is equal to the volume of the piece we inserted.

So now we know that the volume of that piece of unknown metal is 7mL (which is the same as 7cm^3).

Density is \frac{mass}{volume}.

So the density of that piece of metal is \frac{55.3g}{7cm^3}

Which leaves us with a final density of 7.9\frac{gr}{cm^3}

Elliptical, because the shape of the galaxy isn’t like the others. It is unique to its own and doesn’t have another to compare to

What causes convection currents, and what do they do?
frez [133]

Answer:

Convection currents are the result of different heating. Lighter material (warm) rises while heavier (cold) material sinks. This movement of the materials is what causes convection currents! (BTW, it happens in water, in the atmosphere, and in the mantle of Earth!

Explanation:

I hope this helps a little! :)

Calculate the distance traveled by a projectile as a function of launch angle. Compare the distances for two projectiles launche
DaniilM [7]

Answer:

R = x_{max} = \frac{v^2\sin(2\theta)}{g}\\\frac{R_1}{R_2} = \frac{\sin(2\theta_1}{\sin(2\theta_2}

Explanation:

Using kinematics equations:

\Delta x = v_{0x}t\\\Delta y = -\frac{1}{2}gt^2+v_{0y}t

Use \Delta y = 0 due to condition of distance traveled.

Solving second equation for time, there are two solutions. t=0 and

t=\frac{2v_{0y}}{g}

Use the expression in the first equation to have

R = \frac{2v^2 \cos\theta\sin\theta}{g}

Using trigonometric identities, you have the answer of the distance.

By doing the ratio for two different angles, you have the second answer. Due to sine function properties, the distances can be the same to complementary angles. Example, for 20° and 70°, the distance is the same.
