Figure JKLM is a parallelogram. The measures of line segments MT and TK are shown. What is the value of y?
Katena32 [7]
Because JKLM is a parallelogram, MT = TK.

MT: 8y + 18
TK : 12y - 10

MT = TK
8y + 18 = 12y - 10
8y - 12y = -10 -18
-4y = -28
y = -28/-4
y = 7

MT: 8y + 18 → 8(7) + 18 = 56 + 18 = 74
TK : 12y - 10 → 12(7) -10 = 84 - 10 = 74

The value of y is 7.

in a AP the first term is 8,nth term is 33 and sum to first n terms is 123.Find n and common difference
mixer [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First I want to set up some variables.

S = sum

n = final term

ax = xth term, so a1 is the first term and an is the last one

d = common difference.

There are two formulas to find the sum, if you don't get how they were gotten I'd be happy to explain.

S = (n/2)(a1+an) = (n/2)(2a1+(n-1)d)

So, to find n we use the first one.

S = (n/2)(a1+an)

123 = (n/2)(8+33)

123 = (n/2)41

3 = n/2

6 = n

Now we can find d with the other one

S = (n/2)(2a1+(n-1)d)

123 = (6/2)(2*8+(6-1)d)

123 = 3(16+5d)

41 = 16+5d

25 = 5d

5 = d

so there are six terms and the common difference is 5.

A fruit salad consists of blueberries, raspberries, grapes, and cherries. The fruit salad has a total of 280 pieces of fruit. Th
Blababa [14]
Let no of blueberries be x
2 x bluberries = total raspberries
So raspberries = 2x
Cherries= 4 x raspberries so
Cherries = 8 x
Grapes = 3x cherries so
Grapes = 24x

Total fruit is equal to
X+2x+24x+8x=280
35x=280
Therefore X= 280/35=8

No of cherries in the salad
=8x
=8(8)
=64 cherries in total

Hope this helped and sorry I used shortcuts
Hope u understand

Writing in the form of power of 3
melomori [17]
Writing in the form of power of 3 can be wrote a lot of ways. Any number to the power of 3 van also be read as the number to the power of 3, or the number cubed. Lets do some examples:-

3³ = 3 × 3 × 3 = 27
3³ = 27
3³ = three cubed = three to the power of 3

5³ = 5 × 5 × 5 = 125
5³ = 125
5³ = five cubed = five to the power of 3

(These are just 2 examples. There are MANY more.)
Hope I helped ya!!

Answer:

AB is around 33.18

BC is around 15.58

Step-by-step explanation:

adjacent/hypotenuse is sine:

cos(28 degrees)=29.3/x

cos(28 degrees)*x=29.3

x=29.3/cos(28 degrees)

x=around 33.18

AB is around 33.18

opposite/adjacent is tangent

tan(28 degrees)=x/29.3

tan(28 degrees)*29.3=x

x=tan(28 degrees)*29.3

x=around 15.58

BC is around 15.58
