Simple...

you have -4.16-(-2.3)

but remember there's a negative in front of the (-2.3) so that gets switched into +2.3....

so now you'd have...

-4.16+2.3

=-1.86

Thus, your answer, B.

For the first digit you are choosing from 2 digits
for the second digit you are choosing from 2 digits
for the third digit you are choosing from 2 digits
2*2*2=8
111
110
011
101
000
001
100
010
However......
A number doesn't usually start with a 0 or 0s.
Therefore, if you want 3-digit numbers and not just permutations using 0 and 1, then you must eliminate
011, 000, 001, and 010
Seeing that the first digit can't be 0, you choose from 1, then 2, and then 2 digits again; 1*2*2=4 numbers
You choose which answer best suits your problem.

Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the line that passes through the point (-8, 2) and is perpendicular to the line y
tamaranim1 [39]

Answer:

y = -5x/4 - 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Two lines that are perpendicular have slopes that are opposite reciprocals.

Since the slope of the given line is 4/5, the opposite reciprocal of that is -5/4. So the equation has a slope of -5/4.

Since we know the coordinate of a point of the other equation, we can plug that into the point-slope form equation y - y1 = m(x - x1):

y - 2 = -5/4(x-(-8))

Simplify:

y - 2 = -5/4(x+8)

y - 2 = -5x/4 - 10

So the equation in slope-intercept form is:

y = -5x/4 - 8
