Answer:

y=(x-8)^{2}+2

Step-by-step explanation:

When calculating the quadratic function in vertex form, you just have to create a quadratic binomial with the values in the function, and then you add or withdraw from the equation what you need to complete the quadratic binomial.

y = x^{2}  - 16x + 66

So you now know that to create a quadratic binomial, you have to divide the B by 2, and then square it, remember that "B" is the numeric value on the second term of the equation, in this case is -16, so divided by 2 it would be -8 and squared it would be 64.

y = x^{2}  - 16x + 66\\y=x^{2}  - 16x + 64 +2\\y=(x-8)^{2}+2

So now you know that the quadratic function in vertex form is:

y=(x-8)^{2}+2

Find the values of x and y for the isosceles trapezoid
butalik [34]
<h3>Answer:</h3>
  • x = 15
  • y = 3
<h3>Step-by-step explanation:</h3>

If the trapezoid is isosceles, angles A and C are supplementary, so ...

... (4x+4) +(7x+11) = 180

... 11x +15 = 180 . . . . . . collect terms

... 11x = 165 . . . . . . . . . subtract 15

... x = 15 . . . . . . . . . . . . divide by the coefficient of x

And angles C and E are congruent.

... 4·15 +4 = 21y +1

... 63 = 21y . . . . . subtract 1

... 3 = y . . . . . . . . divide by the coefficient of y
