GCF means the term(s) that 6x and x have.
The GCF is x because:
1. Using multiplication: 6x * x = 6x^2
becomes x(6+x) = 6x^2
GCF is x.

Good luck to you!

10. The sum of two numbers is 102. One number is three less than twice the other.
netineya [11]

Answer:

(2n -3) + n = 102

2n - 3 + n = 102

3n - 3 = 102

3n = 105

n = 35 (the first number)

SO...

The other number is (2 x 35) - 3 =

                                           70 - 3 = 67 (the second number)

The numbers are 35 and 67.

35 + 67 = 102 CHECK!

If you roll a single die and count the number of dots on top, what is the sample space of all possible outcomes? Are the outcome
azamat

Answer:

Outcomes: S = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6}

The outcomes of rolling a single die are equally likely.

Step-by-step explanation:

A single fair die has six faces. Each face has dots on it, numbered {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6}.

On rolling the die the possible outcomes are:

S = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6}

Thus, there are a total of 6 possible outcomes.

Equally likely events are events that has the same probability of happening.

For example, if events <em>A</em> and <em>B</em> are equally likely then <em>P </em>(<em>A</em>) = <em>P </em>(<em>B</em>).

The outcomes of rolling a die are equally likely because the probability of any of the 6 faces showing up are same, i.e.

P(1) = P(2)=P(3)=P(4)=P(5)=P(6)=\frac{Favorable\ outcome}{Total\ no.\ of\ outcomes}=\frac{1}{6}

Thus, the outcomes of rolling a single die are equally likely.

What is the value of x in the equation 3x-1/9y=18, when y=27?
natulia [17]

Hi Vanessa

3x -1/9 (27) =18

3x - 27/9 =18

3x- 3 =18

Add 3 to both sides

3x-3+3=18+3

3x=21

Divide both sides by 3

3x/3= 21/3

x= 7

The value of x is 7

Now let's check if my answer is correct

To check it we gonna replace x by 7 and 27 for y

(3)(7) -1/9 (27) = 18

21 -1/9 (27)=18

21- 27/9 = 18

21- 3 = 18

18 = 18

The answer is good and I hope its help:0

Write 5^3 x √5 as a single power of 5
MakcuM [25]
√5 = 5^(1/2)

Multiplying two number with the same base has as result a number with the same base and the sum of the exponents so:

1/2 + 3 = 7/2
which means
5^3 x 5^(1/2) = 5^(7/2)
