During the Reconstruction
era, two events took place. Firstly, the United States history from the period
1865-1877 also included the Civil War. And the second, focused on the rebuilding
of the US government and Southern United States revolution. These two presidents,
Johnson and Grant. In each of these gentlemen’s view are quite contradictory
which pertains to their respectful motives to reinforce and reinvigorate the
society and state at their time. Johnson, President Lincoln’s successor was
more in conflict with regards to Reconstruction Acts that while Grant on the
other hand supported these acts that was delivered by the Radicals.
