Answer:

The answer to the cost for each toffee is given below:

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the cost for each toffee is shown below:

Given that

There are a total 180 candies hat includes three types  in a ratio of 4:2:3

Gobs = 4 ÷ 9 × 180 = 80

Blobs = 2 ÷ 9 × 180 = 40

Toffees = 3 ÷ 9 × 180 = 60

Now the total cost of all the candies shipment is $430

So,

The equation would be

80 × $1.50 + 40 × $2.50 + 60 × per cost = $430

120 + 150 + 60 × per cost = $430

60 × per cost = $430 - $120 - $150

60 × per cost = $160

Per cost is $2.67

So for toffees it would be 160

A car travels down a highway at 25 m/s. An observer stands 150 m from the highway.
makvit [3.9K]
Let x be the distance (in feet) along the road that the car has traveled and h be the distance (in feet) between the car and the observer.

(a) Before the car passes the observer, we have dh/dt < 0; after it passes, we have dh/dt > 0. So at the instant it passes the observer we have dh/dt = 0, given that dh/dt varies continuously since the car travels at a constant velocity.

Emery earns money mowing his neighbors' lawns. He charges $1.25 per square yard for each lawn he mows. His neighbors, the Flores
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer: 4.2 yards

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x = length of the Flores' lawn in yards.

Then, Area of lawn = 4x  sq. yard [Area of rectangle = width x length , here width = 4 yds (given)]

Charge per square yard = $1.25

Charge for Flores lawn = 1.25 × (Area of lawn)

= 1.25 (4x)

= 5x

As per given,

5x=21\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=\dfrac{21}{5}\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=4.2

Hence, the length of the Flores's lawn = 4.2 yards

Solve the inequality.
Stells [14]

Answer:

x ≤ - 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

- 2x - 1 ≥ 9 ( add 1 to both sides )

- 2x ≥ 10

Divide both sides by - 2, reversing the symbol as a result of dividing by a negative quantity.

x ≤ - 5
