<u><em>Differences between barcode reader and character recognition devices:</em></u>

Barcode Reader or Barcode Scanner:

  • Barcode Scanner scans the data by brightening the barcodes usingSensor
  • The analog signal is then converted into digital signal by Converter.
  • The Decoder calculates the converted data and sends valid data to the computer.

Character Recognition Devices (OCR):

  • OCR scans the physical document and converts them into two-coloured format.
  • The darker and lighter area are identified as characters and blanks respectively.
  • The common methods used are: Pattern Recognition and Feature Detection.

  • The setting up of wireless communication complex and expensive.

<u>Advantages of wired communication:-</u>

  • Simple configuration
  • Higher bandwidth is present in the cable
  • High reliability

<u>Disadvantages of wired communication:-</u>

  • Mobility is present for communication
  • Installation requires lot of time due to cabling
  • Requires extra devices for covering large areas for communication

Wireless communication is more preferable than wired communication in the conditions like communication connection that should face low damage and longer life which is not present in cable connection as they break or get disrupted.The flexibility of moving while communication is required by most people so, they use wireless communication .

Determine the best access modifier for each of the following situations: a. A class Employee records the name, address, salary,
Lorico [155]

Answer:

a. Protected

b. Public

Explanation:

There are four acess modifier in Java.

Default: Acessible only within the same package.

Public: Can be acessed by any class.

Private: Acessible only within the class.

For example, you have a class employee and a private method. This method can only be accessed by an object that is an instance of an employee.

Protected: Used in classes that extend each other. For example, a class of employees would extend employee.

So:

a. A class Employee records the name, address, salary, and phone number.

The best acesses modifier is protected. A class may extended employee but have the same arguments(name, adress, salary, phone number), so it should also have acess to the method.

b. An adding method inside of a class BasicMath.

This method can be used in a variety of packages and projects and classes... and there is no important information regarding security. So the best method is public.

coins = coins%5;

int pennies = coins/1;

cout<<"\tDimes: "<<dimes<<endl;

cout<<"\tNickles: "<<nickles<<endl;

return 0;

}

Explanation:

  • Use the built-in rand function to generate a random coin.
  • Get all the required values for quarters, dimes, nickles and pennies and store them in variables.
  • Check if the coins give a value of temp, then answer is correct and the values of user will be added.
  • Optimum solution is displayed  If it does not matches with the optimum solution. Display that the answer is wrong along with solution.
