pyramid A: 16 + 8\sqrt{5

pyramid B: 400 + 8\sqrt{125

pyramid A: 4 by 4= 16 cm.

with a height of 1 and length of 2, we use pythagorean theorem to find height of other surfaces to be square root of 5. area of triangle is 1/2 bh

square root of 5 multiplied by 4 and divided by 2 is 2 root 5

multiply this by 4 sides total for 8 root 5

Add the 8 root 5 to 16

To find pyramid B: use ratio of 25:1 and multiply 16 by 25 to find 400, and root 5 to 125

Is the given linear expression a factor if the polynomial?<br><br>f(x) = 2x^3 + x^2 - 5x + 2; x + 2
Minchanka [31]

Answer:

Yes.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:  f(x) = 2x^3 + x^2 - 5x + 2; x + 2

If x + 2 is a factor of f(x),  then , by the Factor Theorem,  f(-2) = 0.

So we check if this is so:

f(-2) = 2(-2)^3 + (-2)^2 - 5(-2) + 2

=  -16 + 4 + 10 + 2

= -16 + 16 = 0.

So Yes x + 2 is a factor.

Help the pic has questions
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

a) x = 9

b) m \angle 1 = m \angle 2 = 54^\circ

Step-by-step explanation:

Since r\ ||\ s, through the Alternate Angle Theorem, m \angle 1 = m \angle 2. We can solve for x by setting up an equation where both angles are equal to each other:

m \angle 1 = m \angle 2\\63-x = 72-2x\\63 +x = 72\\x = 9

Now plug in x for both of the formulas to get their angles:

m \angle 1 = (63 - x)^\circ = (63-9)^\circ = 54^\circm \angle 2 = (72-2x)^\circ = (72-2(9))^\circ = (72-18)^\circ = 54^\circ
