Answer:

Depends on how long. $8 every additional hour would be the better deal unless you go at or over 6 hours. If you're planning on babysitting for 5 hours or less, go with option A. If 6 hours or more, go with option B.

Answer:

Depends on how long and the child

Step-by-step explanation:

If you're babysitting for like 3 1/2 hours the first option if you're babysitting for longer than the second option and also if the kid is bugging you a lot :/ then the second one because you're working harder and the harder you work the more money you should earn :D

the length of a rectangle is 2 inches longer than twice its width. If the area of the rectangle is 24 square inches, what are th
gregori [183]

Answer:

The length is 8 inches and the width is 3 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Let w represent the width.

The length can be represented by 2w + 2

Use the area formula, A = lw, and plug in the area and the expressions for the length and width:

A = lw

24 = (2w + 2)(w)

Simplify and solve for w:

24 = 2w² + 2w

2w² + 2w - 24

Divide everything by 2:

w² + w - 12

Factor:

(w + 4)(w - 3)

Set equal to 0 and solve for each factor:

w + 4 = 0

w = -4

w - 3 = 0

w = 3

Since the width cannot be negative, the width has to be 3.

Next, find the length by plugging in 3 as w:

2w + 2

2(3) + 2

= 8

So, the length is 8 inches and the width is 3 inches

a rocket is 1 mile above thw earth in 30 seconds and 5 miles above the earth in 2.5 minutes what is the rockets rate of change i
Veronika [31]
Rate of Change:

At 1 mile in 30 seconds.
At  5 miles in 2.5 minutes.  2.5 minutes = 2.5*60 = 150 seconds.

Rate of change =   Change in height / Change in time

                            =   (h₂-h₁)/(t₂-t₁)

                            =   (5 -1) /(150 -30) = 4/120 = (1/30) = 0.0333 miles per second.

                             = (1/30) miles per second or 0.0333 miles per second.

To have the answer in miles per minute.

         (1/30) miles per second = (1/30) miles/second.

60 seconds = 1minute
1 second = (1/60) minute.

(1/30) miles/second  =  (1/30) miles/(1/60)minute
                                   =   (1/30) *60 miles / minute
                                   =    2 miles per minute.

What is the equation of the given line in the point-slope form
Genrish500 [490]
First using the given two points we can find the slope (m) of the line

Slope = m =  \frac{Rise}{Run} \\  \\
m= \frac{4-1}{3-0} \\  \\
m=1

Thus the slope of given line is 1.

Using slope and a point (0,1) we can write the equation in point slope form as

y - 1= 1(x-0)
y - 1 = x

The above equation is the point-slope form of the equation.
