Ahh there isn’t a group 29 on the periodic table, but do you mean which element had the atomic number 29 because that would be Copper (Cu).

Hope this helps :)

You are instructed to create 900. mL of a 0.29 M phosphate buffer with a pH of 7.8. You have phosphoric acid and the sodium salt
Aleksandr [31]

Answer:

B and C

Explanation:

When we have to do a buffer solution we always have to choose the reaction that has the pKa closer to the desired pH value. When we find the pKa values we will obtain:

pKa_1=-Log[6.9x10^-^3]=2.16

pKa_2=-Log[6.2x10^-^8]=7.20

pKa_3=-Log[4.8x10^-^13]=12.31

The closer value is pKa2 with a value of 7.2. Therefore we have to use the second reaction. In which H_2PO_4^-^1 is the acid and HPO_4^-^2 is the base. Therefore the answer for the first question is B and the answer for the second question is C.

The electron configuration of an element is 1s22s22p63s1 Describe what most likely happens when an atom of this element comes ne
trasher [3.6K]

Answer:

They will create an ionic bond.

Explanation:

The atom with the one valence electron will lose its one, because it's a metal and metals will lose electrons to become stable. The nonmetal (with 7 valence electrons) will gain that electron, therefore creating a stable octet for the nonmetal, making the compound stable.

What is the molarity of a solution that has 4.4 moles BaCl2 in 1.5 Liters of solution?
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

2.9 M

Explanation:

Step 1: Given data

Moles of barium chloride (solute): 4.4 moles

Volume of solution: 1.5 liters

Step 2: Calculate the molarity of barium chloride in the solution

The molarity is a way to quantitatively express the concentration of a solute in a solution. The molarity is equal to the moles of solute divided by the volume, in liters, of solution.

M=\frac{4.4mol}{1.5L} =2.9 M
