I'm really stuck on this hard system of equations: A+B+C = 2, AB+BC+AC = -11, and ABC = -12. Can anyone show me how to solve thi
Andreas93 [3]
Oh boy. I don't know how to solve this off the top of my head so this answer may ramble a bit as I figure it out as I go along.

At least two numbers have to be close in value, one positive and one negative, in order for a+b+c to be true

Let's see, ABC=-12

If one letter was 4, 1, and -3 they would add to 2 and multiply to -12. I got these by just trying a bunch of combinations.

I'm pretty sure these are the right numbers, but which is which we need the AB+BC+AC formula to figure out.

IF: a=4 b=1 c=-3
4 -3 -12 = -11. Wow, first try, for reals!

A equals 4. B=1. C=-3

Would other combinations work?
a=1 b=-3 c=4
-3 + -12 + 4 = -11

Yes, other combinations work as well. Well, you have your numbers and two ways they can go. Hope this helps!

Select all the expressions that are equivalent to y'.
aleksley [76]

Answer:

A, B, D

Step-by-step explanation:

A) y squared times y squared you just add the exponents

B) y^6/y^2 write it out as (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)/(y)(y) then u cancel out two "y" from numerator and denominator and is left with y^4

C) is just 0 so its wrong

D) is the same process as B just cancel out 5 "y" from numerator and denominator and is left with y^4

E) is incorrect bc you need to add the exponents and you will get y^5 which is not equal to y^4 so yeah its wrong

love history [14]

Answer:

18 rubber band bracelets

Step-by-step explanation:

1 hour = 4 bracelets

4.5 hours = ?

4.5 hours/× 4 bracelets

_______

1 hour/

4.5×4 bracelets = 18 bracelets

In an hour Jessica makes four bracelets and in 4.5hours she makes how many bracelets ,we don't know , obviously in 4.5hours she would make more so if more less will divide.

so 4.5hours over 1hour times 4 bracelets. so hour will cancel hour and now 4.5 times 4 bracelets is equal to 18 bracelets
