The acceleration would remain constant

Acceleration is a vector quantity that is defined as the rate at which an object changes its velocity. An object is accelerating if it is changing its velocity.

DiKsa [7]
Mass = that which causes and object to have inertia

Newton’s First Law= a special case of Galileo’s Law of Inertia

Impulse= force multiplied by time

Momentum= velocity multiplied by mass

Velocity= momentum/mass

Newton’s Second Law= the acceleration of a mass directly proportional to the force acting on it

Calculate the concentration of oxalate ion (c2o42–) in a 0.175 m solution of oxalic acid (c2h2o4). [for oxalic acid, ka1 = 6.5 ×
Darina [25.2K]

C2H2O4 C2HO4- + H+

0.175 - x x x + y

C2HO4- c2o42– + H+

x - y y x + y

K2 = (y) (x +y) / (x-y)

As, y << x

So, K2 = (y) (x) / (x)

K2 = y =6.1 × 10^–5

Hence, concentration of (c2o42–) 6.1 × 10^–5 M

What is one major difference between volcanic activity on Earth and volcanic activity on Mars, Venus, and the moon? Explain.
kow [346]

While the Moon and Mercury have relatively small volcanoes, those on Venus, Earth and Mars are large and numerous.  Earth's volcanoes are still active and Venus' may be, but scientists debate whether Mars' volcanic activity has finished.

Find the mass, in grams, of 5.00*10^23 molecules of F2
Westkost [7]

Answer:   31.55 g

Explanation:

- The mass number of Fluoride atom (F) = 18.99 g/mol, so mass number of         fluorine gas (F2) = 37.98 g/mol.

-  1 mole of (F2) [which has 37.98 g/mol] contains Avogadro’s number of molecules (6.02×10^23 molecules),

   so   1 mole of (F2) with 37.98 g/mol →  6.02×10^23 molecules.

- Using cross multiplication,

                               37.98 g/mol of (F2)        →       6.02 ×10^23 molecules

                                                       ?              →        5.00 ×10^23 molecules

Hence the mass of 5.00×10^23 molecules of F2 = (37.98 × 5.00 × 10^23) / 6.02 ×10^23 = 31.55 g..
