Answer:

See explanations below

Explanation:

For resistors in series, the will be added for those in parallel, we will take the sum of their reciprocal

A) 3 2ohms resistors in series

Equivalent resistance = 2 + 2 + 2

Equivalent resistance = 6ohms

B) 2 4 ohms resisstors in parallal

1/R = 1/4 + 1/4

1/R = 2/4

R = 4/2

R = 4ohms

Equivalent resistance is 2ohms

C) 4 ohms with in series with 8ohms = 4 + 8

Equivalent resistance = 4 + 8

Equivalent resistance = 12ohms

D) 4 ohms and 2 ohms in parallel is expressed as;

1/R = 1/4 + 1/2

1/R = 1+2/4

1/R = 3/4

R = 4/3

4/3 ohms in series with 6ohms

Equivalent resistance = 4/3 + 6

Equivalent resistance =4+18/3

Equivalent resistance = 22/3 ohms

A magnet of mass 0.20 kg is dropped from rest and falls vertically through a 35.0 cm copper tube. Eddy currents are induced, cau
topjm [15]

Answer:

0.58 J

Explanation:

We know that Total energy is conserved.

Initial Kinetic energy + Initial potential energy = final kinetic energy+ final potential energy + dissipated heat energy

Initial kinetic energy = 0 ( magnet is at rest initially)

Initial Potential energy = m g h = (0.20 kg)(9.81 m/s²)(0.35 m) = 0.69 J

Final kinetic energy = 0.5 m v² = 0.5 ×0.20 kg × 1.10 m/s = 0.11 J

Final potential energy = 0

∴ Dissipated heat energy = (0.69 -0.11) J = 0.58 J

Hey guys how to prevent from shock
Pie
U need an insulator to prevent the shock passing through , that's why there is a plastic sheet covering the copper wires so that it can prevent the electricity passing through as plastic is an insulator and does not conduct electricity

For a ship moving against the current, it takes 9 hours to cover a distance of 113.4 miles. how much does it take this ship to r
Digiron [165]
Let x mph be the speed of the ship in still water.
Against the current, the net speed is, (x-1.9) mph.
Time, t= distance, d/ Speed, v => 9= 113.4/(x-1.9) => 9(x-1.9) = 113.4 => x-1.9 = 113.4/9 => x = 12.6+1.9 = 14.5 mph

Moving with the current, the net speed of the ship = 14.5+1.9 =16.4 mph

Time take, t = d/v = 113.4/16.4 = 6.915 hours

An electric heater carries a current of 13.5 A when operating at a voltage of 120V . What is the resistance of the heater?
Aloiza [94]

An electric heater that carries a current of 13.5 A when operating at a voltage of 120V , will have the resistance of the heater as 8.89 ohm.

What is Ohm's law?

Ohm's law can be described as the law in physics that focus on how voltage or potential difference between two points is directly proportional to the current or electricity that is moving in the direction of the resistance.

An this is also directly proportional to the resistance of the circuit, hence it can be calculated using the Ohm's law is V=IR.

from V=IR

R=V/I

= 120/13.55

=8.89 ohm.

Therefore, electric heater that carries a current of 13.5 A when operating at a voltage of 120V , will have the resistance of the heater as 8.89 ohm.

Equal and opposite forces that act on the same object are called
inessss [21]

Answer:Balance Forces

Explanation:

Balanced Forces are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction that acts on the same body. Whenever balanced forces act on an object the object is either still or moving in the same direction with constant velocity.

example of Balanced Forces are

 • Consider a block lying on the ground and is being pulled by two forces of equal magnitude but in acting in the opposite direction. As a result, the block is at rest.
