Step-by-step explanation:

a)

\sin^{2}x + \cos^{2}x = 1

Dividing both sides by sin^2x, we get

1 +  \frac{\cos^{2}x }{ \sin^{2}x}  =  \frac{1}{\sin^{2}x }

The 2nd term on the LHS is simply cot^2x and the RHS is simply csc^2x

1 + \cot^{2}x = \csc^{2}x

b)

2 \sin  x  = 1

\sin  x  =  \frac{1}{2}

x = \sin^{ - 1} (\frac{1}{2}) =  \frac{\pi}{6}

You can also graph it to arrive at the solution.

How many different 6- player starting squads can be formed from a volleyball team of 11 players?
aivan3 [116]
You have to calculate how many combinations of 6 people can be chosen from 11.   The formula for this is:
n! / [r! * (n-r)!]
combinations = 11! / [6! * 5!] =
11 * 10 * 9 * 8 * 7 /  5 * 4 * 3 * 2 *1 =
11 * 3 * 2 * 7 =
462 Combinations

Which of the following pairs of triangles can be proven similar through SSS similarity?
Yakvenalex [24]

Based on the SSS similarity theorem, the pair of triangles that can be proven to be similar is the pair shown in the image attached below.

<h3>What is the SSS Similarity Theorem?</h3>

The SSS similarity theorem states that two triangle area similar to each other if the ratio of the three corresponding sides of both triangles are equal.

Thus, in the image attached below, the ratio of the three corresponding sides of the pair of triangles are:

10/2.5 = 11/2.75 = 8/2 = 4

Therefore, the pair of triangles that we can prove to be similar using the SSS similarity theorem is the pair shown in the image attached below.
