The mass of a satellite in geostationary orbit is 1,847 kg. The mass of Earth is 5.97*1024 kg. Because of the force Earth exerts

on the satellite, it accelerates. The magnitude of the acceleration is 0.223 m/s2, and it is directed towards Earth. What is the magnitude of the force in N the satellite exerts on Earth

Answer:

411.88 N

Explanation:

Given that:

mass of satellite m = 1847 kg

mass of the earth M = 5.97 × 10²⁴ kg

centripetal acceleration a = 0.223 m/s²

The magnitude of the force exerted by the earth on the satellite = the centripetal force that is being exerted by the satellite.

∴

m \dfrac{v^2}{r} = G \dfrac{mM}{r^2}

ma = G \dfrac{mM}{r^2}

G \dfrac{mM}{r^2}= 1847 \times 0.223

G \dfrac{mM}{r^2}= 411.88 \ N

Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

yes. We will have the same displacement.

Explanation:

It's in the definition of a displacement that " displacement is the change in position and if the initial and final position is same then the displacement will be zero". So in the park from starting position if we end up walking at the same position then our displacement will be zero because our initial and final positions are same.

The chemical equation below shows that hydrogen and oxygen chemically react to form water.
shutvik [7]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

Hydrogen, oxygen, and water are pure substances that each have different properties.

Although the 3 of them are pure substances, but they nonetheless have different properties. These properties could either be their physical properties, or their chemical properties. This is particularly so because since Oxygen and Hydrogen the major components in water have different properties, it is only right if their product, water, has different properties also.

When the bus starts moving forward, the man remains at rest,
causing him to lean back.

When the bus slows down, the man continues to move forward,
and appears to lean forward.

Both events are examples of the effect of inertia.
