Step-by-step explanation:

5/8 × 6/8= 30/8 => this is the wrong one

it should be 5/8 × 6/8= 30/64.

9/10×3/10= 27/100 => this is the true one

How do I create and graph equations in two variables?
lina2011 [118]
Substitute x=0 in the equation and find the value for y that makes the resulting equation true. For example, in the equation x-2y=2, when x=0, the equation becomes -2y=2. Since y=-1 makes this equation true, one point on the line is (0,-1)

What is the area of this figure? Please help
iragen [17]

Answer:

369.5 ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

Separate the figure into 2 rectangles and 2 triangles.

(see attached image)

Area 1

Area of a rectangle = width × length

                                 = 4 × 5

                                 = 20 ft²

Area 2

Area of a rectangle = width × length

                                 = 8 × (4 + 4 + 5)

                                 = 8 × 13

                                 = 104 ft²

Area 3

Area of a triangle = 1/2 × base × height

                             = 1/2 × (6 + 4 + 5 + 4 - 6) × 23

                             = 1/2 × 13 × 23

                             = 149.5 ft²

Area 4

Area of a triangle = 1/2 × base × height

                             = 1/2 × 8 × (21 + 8 - 5)

                             = 1/2 × 8 × 24

                             = 96 ft²

Total Area

Area 1 + Area 2 + Area 3 + Area 2 = 20 + 104 + 149.5 + 96

                                                        = 369.5 ft²

The sum of 4 consecutive even numbers is 36 what is the first number in this sequence
s2008m [1.1K]

Answer

6

Explanation

let n be the first even number in the sequence.

The 2nd term = n + 2

       3rd term = n + 2 + 2

                       = n + 4

    4th term = n + 4 + 2

                   = n + 6

The sum of these number = 36.

∴ n + (n +2) + (n + 4) + (n + 6) = 36

4n + 12 = 36

4n = 36 - 12

4n = 24

n = 24/4

  = 6

The first term is 6.
