MITOSIS:

It has four stages,

1- Prophase: The chromosomes are condensed into the X-shaped structures that can be easily seen under a microscope.  

2- Metaphase: The chromosomes come end-to-end at the center (equator) of the cell.

3- Anaphase: In this Phase, The sister chromatids are pulled apart by the mitotic spindle to the opposite poles. One spindle fiber pull a chromosome to one pole and other spindle fiber to the other pole.

4- Telophase: At each pole of the cell a full set of chromosomes gather together.
