32 cm long

15 cm wide

6 cm tall

The surface area is the sum of the area of all six sides

Two sides are 32 x 15

Two sides are 15 x 6

Two sides are 6 x 32

32 x 15 = 480

15 x 6 = 90

6 x 32 = 192

Surface area = 2(480) + 2(90) + 2(192) = 960 + 180 + 384 = 1524 cm2

Answer:

  • 1044 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the box doesn't have the top, the total surface area includes 4 sides and the bottom.

  • S = 32(15) + 2(32 + 15)(6) = 1044 cm²

Cardboard used is 1044 cm²

Does the chart below represent a proportional relationship? What is the rate of change?
Lilit [14]

This chart represents a proportional relationship. The rate of change will be 4.

<h3>What is the constant of proportionality?</h3>

Firstly, there is a proportional relationship.

Two values x  and y are said to be in a proportional relationship if x=ky, where x and y are variables and k is a constant.

The constant k is called the constant of proportionality.

Given;

x y

1 4

2 8

3 12

4 16

Here, x = ky

put the first value

k = 1/4

This chart represents a proportional relationship.

So the rate of change will be

Rate = \dfrac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}\\\\Rate = \dfrac{8 - 4}{2 - 1}\\\\Rate = 4

Solve the two-step equation. − 2 3 x – 21 4 = 27 4
svetoff [14.1K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm going to assume that the problem is -23x -214 = 274

And in that case...

1. First isolate the x-value by adding 214 to both sides of the equation:

-23x = 488

2. Then, divide both sides by -23 to truly get x alone:

x = -\frac{488}{23} or -21.22

A plumber had a pipe that was 2 yards long he cut 18 inches off the end of the pipe
balandron [24]
To convert yards to feet, you would multiply it by 3. So, since there the pipe is 2 yards long, you could multiply 2*3 to get 6 feet. Then you can convert feet to inches by multiplying it by 12. 6*12 is equal to 72, so 2 yards is equal to 72 inches. Lastly, you can subtract 18 from 72, to get 54, and 54 inches would be your final answer.
