Answer:

Present age

Son: 15

Father: 45

Step-by-step explanation:

Remark

Thank you for the translation. Without it, the problem would be impossible -- at least for me.

Givens

Let the present age of the father = x

Let the present age of the son = y

Solution

x + y = 60

How many years will pass? You could say it's z.

x + z = y                          When z years pass, the son will be his father's present age.

x + z + y + z = 120          when z is added to both their current ages, the result is 120                   Collect like terms

x + y + 2z = 120

x + y         = 60              Subtract The very first equation

2z = 60                          Divide by 2

z = 60/2                         30 years have passed.

z = 30

x + z = y

x + 30 = y                       Substitute x + 30 for the present y value (the father).

x + x + 30 = 60

2x = 30

x = 15

x + y = 60

15 + y = 60

y = 60 - 15

y = 45

So the son's age right now is 15

The father's age right now is 45

8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

0.026

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the result of 10 coin flips :

T,T,H,T,H,T,T,T,H,T

Number of Heads, H = 3

Number of tails, T = 7

Let :

B = biased coin

B' = non-biased coin

E = event

Probability that it is the biased coin:

P(E Given biased coin) / P(E Given biased coin) * P(E Given non-biased coin) * P(non-biased coin)

P(E|B)P(B) / (P(E|B)*P(B) + P(E|B')P(B')

([(0.75^3) * (0.25^7)] * 0.5) /([(0.75^3) * (0.25^7)] * 0.5) + (0.5^10) * 0.5

Help me with 3, and 5 show your work !
ss7ja [257]
Okay so for number 3, you have to do the top work first.

3: POSITIVE 2!! first, you do the stuff inside the parentheses first because of P(parentheses)EMDAS. so, 14-2-10! -2-10 is -12 and then plus positive 14 is +2. but, the negative sign outside of the parentheses makes that +2 a -2.
but, you cant forget the -12 outside. you have to do -12-2 which gets you -14. then, this is easy! -14 divided by -7 is a positive 2!

5: POSITIVE 3!! again, do the stuff in the parentheses first!! -2-4 is -6. then, -6 x 2 is -12! so, divide -12 by -4 and you get a positive 3!

Vaselesa [24]
I believe you ment to say sale price but I hope this helps you understand your question. The original price was 1200, and if it were 5/6 on sale (this method works for all questions like this) you would do 1200 ÷ 6 = 200 x 5 = $1000.

The circle below has center P, and its radius is 3 m. Given that m 2 QPR=170°, find the length of the minor arc OR.
QveST [7]

Any smooth curve connecting two points is called an arc. The length of the arc m∠QPR is 2.8334π m.

What is the Length of an Arc?

Any smooth curve connecting two points is called an arc. The arc length is the measurement of how long an arc is. The length of an arc is given by the formula,

\rm{ Length\ of\ an\ Arc = 2\times \pi \times(radius)\times\dfrac{\theta}{360} = 2\pi r \times \dfrac{\theta}{2\pi}

where

θ is the angle, that which arc creates at the centre of the circle in degree.

Given the radius of the circle is 3m, while the angle made by the arc at the centre of the circle is 170°. Therefore,

The length of an arc = 2πr×(θ/360°) = 2π × 3 ×(170/360°) = 2.8334π m

Hence, the length of the arc m∠QPR is 2.8334π m.
