Which of the images above represent a proof of the Pythagorean Theorem? Explain your choice, and then explain how the figure pro

ves the Pythagorean Theorem.
Figure A: Leg a= 9 units (length) Leg b= 36 units (bottom) Leg c= 64 units (diagonal length) Figure B: Leg a= 25 units (length) Leg b= 144 units (bottom) Leg c= 169 units (diagonal length) Um... I'm not very sure if those are the measurements of the legs/hypo in the picture the measurements are inside of the triangle like area. May someone help ke understand this? I know how to do P.T but I'm not sure if those are the measurements for the triangles. Help me please!!

From the second figure it can be seen that 25 + 144 = 169

This implies that 5^2 + 12^2 = 13^2

This is a right triangle with legs of 5 and 12 and hypothenus of 13.

First considering Figure A

Leg a= 9 units (length) Leg b= 36 units (bottom) Leg c= 64 units (diagonal length)

Square of largest side = c² = (64)²=4096

Sum of squares of two smaller sides = a² + b²

  = 9² + (36)²

 = 81 + 1296

 = 1377

c²≠ a² + b²→Does not prove Pythagorean Theorem

Reading Figure B

Leg a= 25 units (length) Leg b= 144 units (bottom) Leg c= 169 units (diagonal length)

Square of largest side = c² = (169)²=28561

Sum of squares of two smaller sides = a² + b²

 =  (144)² + (25)²

=  20736 +625

= 21361

c²≠ a² + b²→Does not prove Pythagorean Theorem

But none of above two information,about two image proves pythagorean theorem.

So , Reading image A like this

a²= 9→a=3 units, b²= 36→→b=6 units , c²= 64→→→c= 8 units

Square of largest side = c² = 64

Also, a² + b² = 9 + 36=45

c²≠ a² + b²→Does not prove Pythagorean Theorem

Reading Image B

a²=25→a=5,b²= 144→→b=12 units , c²= 169→→→c= 13 units

Square of largest side = c² = 169

Also, a² + b² = 144 + 25 =169

c²= a² + b²→→ prove Pythagorean Theorem

Hence ,If you read image in the second way described by me, then this figure B proves Pythagorean Theorem.

balandron [24]

Given:

Alan salary P (in dollars) when he works h hours is represented by the equation

P=12.50h

To find:

The earning per hour.

Solution:

We have,

P=12.50h

Here, P is total salary and h is number of hours he works.

\text{Earning per hour}= \dfrac{\text{Total salary}}{\text{Number of hours}}

\text{Earning per hour}= \dfrac{12.50h}{h}

\text{Earning per hour}=12.50

Therefore, the earning per hour is $12.50.

The town of Lantana needs $14,000 for a new playground Lantana elementary school raised 5358, Lantana Middle School raised $2,83
slavikrds [6]

Answer: The answer is actually 1,676. But you can estimate it to 2,000. so the town of Lantana would have about 2,000 dollasrs left to raise to reach there goal.

Step-by-step explanation:

You would first make sure you add all the number like 5,358+2,834+4,132. And once you get you answer you subtract 14,000 from the number you got!

I really hope that helps.

Suppose that a, b \in \mathbb{Z}a,b∈Z, not both 00, and let d=\gcd(a, b)d=gcd(a,b). Bezout's theorem states that dd can be writt
lara [203]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Recall that we say that d | a if there exists an integer k for which a = dk. So, let d = gcd(a,b) and let x, y be integers. Let t = ax+by.

We know that d | a, d | b so there exists integers k,m such that a = kd and b = md. Then,

t = ax+by = (kd)x+(md)y = d(kx+my). Recall that since k,  x, m, y are integers, then (kx+my) is also an integer. This proves that d | t.
