kakasveta [241]

Reading the passage first, we will know determine the questions in order to break everything down.

These questions we will consider, which are the following:

1. How would you phrase your response to Sam to send a clear message that you believe shoplifting is wrong, and you’re not going to do it? Write a one-sentence response.

2. What are three other ways you can reinforce your message when you’re saying no?

3. Write a one-sentence explanation of the consequences of shoplifting to Sam, using the following questions as a guide:

A. How will my choice affect me both now and in the future?

B. How will my choice affect others?

C. Does my choice contribute to a healthy lifestyle?

Starting with the first question.

1. How would you phrase your response to Sam to send a clear message that you believe shoplifting is wrong, and you’re not going to do it? Write a one-sentence response.

You can say... e.g "Sam, whether people don't care about what you're doing, shoplifting is wrong because it's taking something that's not yours, would you like if I stole something from you and you didn't know?" That would be an example of what you could say to Sam, the one shoplifting.

2. What are three other ways you can reinforce your message when you’re saying no?

You can say... e.g 1.) "I don't want to disappoint my parents". You can also say ...2.) "We could get in big trouble for shoplifting, we could also go to Jail or other serious consequences.". And also ... 3.) "We can really ruin our reputation, so, I'm not going to make this move Sam.".

3. Write a one-sentence explanation of the consequences of shoplifting to Sam, using the following questions as a guide: (Answers will be under questions below, as this is what the question is asking.)

A. How will my choice affect me both now and in the future? I could get into a Jail camp now, and perhaps, this case could stay on my record for any future jobs I have in mind.

B. How will my choice affect others? This would make others feel and see different about me, and perhaps, they may not allow me within their home, thinking I may steal another item from them their-self.

C. Does my choice contribute to a healthy lifestyle? No. It does not. It shows that you would care less to work, and you'd rather steal your way out of life. Which, in this case, this is not a healthy life style.

I hope this helps!

Harry, the swimmer with the fastest time on the Springfield College swim team, routinely hyperventilates before a meet, as he sa
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

Explanation:

From the question, Harry seem to have forgotten that It's the CO2 (carbondioxide) level not the O2 (oxygen)level that gives rise to the urge to breathe. That is to say that once the CO2 level in the blood is high, the brain will trigger a breathing response, that will cause the person(Harry) to try to gasp for air. Also, Harry is jeopardizing his time and life because Hyperventilation itself reduces the CO2 concentration of the blood to below normal level, this makes the bloods pH value to raise, this in turn causes the constriction of the blood vessels that supply the brain, and prevents the transportation of certain electrolytes necessary for the function of the nervous system.
