Prove that (4n+1)^2(4n-1)^2 is a multiple of 8 for all integers of n.<br><br> thanks.
azamat

Answer: i think  (4n+1)^2(4n-1)^2 isnt a multiple of 8 for all integers of n because:

(4n + 1)²(4n - 1)²

= [(4n + 1)(4n - 1)]²

= (16n² - 1)²

= 16².n².n² - 2.16.n² + 1

= 8n²(32n² - 4) + 1

can see 8n²(32n² - 4) is a multiple of 8 but 1 isnt a multiple of 8

=> (4n + 1)²(4n - 1)² isnt a multiple of 8 for all integers of n.

300 ml over 15 min is what rate of ml per hour
Mama L [17]

Answer:

1200 ml per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

To compute what rate is 300 ml over 15 mins as a rate of ml per hour, we do a rule of 3, using a variable x as that amount of ml we don't know yet. We should have everything in the same units, so instead of writing 1 hour we write 60 minutes:

\frac{300~ml}{15~min}=\frac{x~ml}{60~mins}

Now we solve for x:

\frac{300~ml}{15~min}\cdot 60~mins=x~ml

\frac{18000~ml}{15} =x~ml

1200~ml =x~ml

And so, now that we know the value of x, the rate we wanted to find is

\frac{1200~ml}{60~mins}

Which is just 1200 ml per hour.

If BD = 7x – 10, BC = 4x – 29, and CD = 5x – 9, find each value.
DerKrebs [107]
BD=7x-10
Answer: x=bd/7 + 10/7

BC=4x-29
Answer: x=Bc/4 + 29/4

CD=5x - 9
Answer: x= cd/5 + 9/5
