Answer:

m < EAD = 29 degrees

m < CAB = 119 degrees

Given :

The question states that m < CAE = m<FAB = 61 degrees and m<DAF = 90 degrees

Solution:

1. Since line CAF and EAB intersect each other, m<CAF = m< EAF - (opposite vertical angles are equivalent)

2. m<BAC + m<EAC = 180 degrees (sum of linear pair)

3. m<CAB = 180 degrees - m<EAC

4. Equation 1: m<CAB = m<EAF = 119 degrees

5. m<EAF = m<EAD + m< DAF

6. m<EAD = m<EAF - m<DAF

7. m<EAD = 119 degrees-90 degrees = 29 degrees

Hope this helps!!! :)

The domain of startfraction f over g endfraction f g consists of numbers x for which g left parenthesis x right parenthesisg(x)
Misha Larkins [42]

The domain of f/g consists of numbers x for which g(x) cannot equal 0 that are in the domains of both f and g.

Let’s take this equation as an example:

If f(x) = 3x - 5 and g(x) = square root of x-5, what is the domain of (f/g)x.

For x to be in the domain of (f/g)(x), it must be in the domain of f and in the domain of g since (f/g)(x) = f(x)/g(x). We also need to ensure that g(x) is not zero since f(x) is divided by g(x). Therefore, there are 3 conditions.

x must be in the domain of f: f(x) = 3x -5 are in the domain of x and all real numbers x.

x must be in the domain of g: g(x) = √(x - 5) so x - 5 ≥ 0 so x ≥ 5.

g(x) can not be 0: g(x) = √(x - 5) and √(x - 5) = 0 gives x = 5 so x ≠ 5.

Hence to x x ≥ 5 and x ≠ 5 so the domain of (f/g)(x) is all x satisfying x > 5.

Thus, satisfying satisfy all three conditions, x x ≥ 5 and x ≠ 5 so the domain of (f/g)(x) is all x satisfying x > 5.

Mandy took a total of 6 quizzes over the course of 3 weeks at this rate, after attending 5 weeks of school this quarter how many
Over [174]

Answer:

6 quizzes

Step-by-step explanation:

3 divided by 6 is 2 so 2 quizzes per week. attending two more weeks would add 4 more quizzes. By now mandy will have taken 6 quizzes in five weeks.

The cost function in a computer manufacturing plant is C(x) = 0.28x^2-0.7x+1, where C(x) is the cost per hour in millions of dol
Licemer1 [7]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

 $562,500 per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

The cost will be a minimum where C'(x) = 0.

C'(x) = 0.56x -0.7 = 0

 x = 0.7/0.56 = 1.25

The cost at that production point is ...

 C(1.25) = (0.28×1.25 -0.7)1.25 +1 = -0.35×1.25 +1 = 0.5625

The minimum production cost is $562,500 per hour for production of 1250 items per hour.

_____

Additional comment

This is different than the minimum cost per item. This level of production gives a per-item cost of $450. The minimum cost per item is $358.30 at a production level of 1890 per hour.

It's going to be kind of crazy, but you need to use Pythagorean's Theorem for this. That will look like this: (2 \sqrt{x} +1)^2=( \sqrt{x} +1)^2+(2 \sqrt{x} )^2. FOIL out the left side to get 4x+4 \sqrt{x} +1. FOIL out the first of the 2 expressions on the right to get x+2 \sqrt{x} +1, and the second of the 2 to get 4x. Our equation now looks like this: 4x+4 \sqrt{x} +1=x+2 \sqrt{x} +1+4x. Combine like terms to get an equation that still has square roots in it that we have to deal with: 4x-x-4x=-2 \sqrt{x} and x=2 \sqrt{x}. We will square both sides to get rid of the square root sign. x^{2} =2x. This is a polynomial now that can be factored to solve for x. Bring the 2x over by subtraction and set the polynomial equal to 0. x^{2} -2x=0. Factor out an x, leaving us with x(x-2)=0. That means that x = 0 or x - 2 = 0 and x = 2. Of course if we are solving for the length of a side we know it can't have a side length of 0, so it must have a side length that is a multiple of 2. x = 2
