If the dry bulb temperature is 46,and the dew point is 11 degrees celsius, what would be the difference between the wet-bulb and
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

Dew is the condensed water that a person often sees on flowers and grass early in the morning. Dew point varies depending on the amount of water vapor present in the air, with more humid air resulting in a higher dew point than dry air. Furthermore, the higher the relative humidity, the closer the dew point to the current air temperature.

How does a presynaptic neuron know just how much of a certain neurotransmitter (NT) it has released into the synapse?
Llana [10]

Answer:

A presynaptic neuron knows when and how much of a certain neurotransmitter it has to release into the synapse by the frequency of the action potential.

Explanation:

Two nuerons connect to each other through synapse. When an action potential, or nerve impulse, arrives at the axon terminal, it activates voltage-gated calcium channels in the cell membrane, then the calcium which is present in hi highconcentration outside the neuron than inside, rushes into the cell. The Calcium then allows synaptic vesicles to fuse with the axon terminal membrane, releasing neurotransmitter into the synaptic cleft.

The nuerotransmitter than binds to the receptors at the post-synaptic cleft and causes the opening or closing of the channels, hence, depolarizing or hyperpolarizing the cells. This can produce a change in the membrane potential—voltage across the membrane of the receiving cell.

Elastic fibers are important to muscle tissue since they resist excessive stretching and help muscle fibers spring back to its o
brilliants [131]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Elastic fibers are composed of elastin, myofibrils and fibrillin. They are distributed separately, and therefore do not form bundles(they actually form a kind of mesh), like collagen fibers.

Elastic fibers are usually thin and long and can stretch up to 1.5x of their total length.

These fibers confer elasticity to the connective tissue. The mesh formed of elastic fibers easily yields to minimal tensions, returning to its original shape as soon as the deforming forces cease.

An example of the action of elastic fibers is when we pull the skin from our hands and release it, the elastic fibers are responsible for quickly returning the skin to its original shape.

Passive movement of water and solutes from the plasma to the capsular space of kidney corpuscles is a process known as _________
wel

The answer is ultrafiltration. This is helped by the hydrostatic pressure and blood pressure in afferent renal arteriole. Molecules such as water, glucose, urea, sodium chloride, amino acids pass through the semipermeable membrane of the dense capillary network of the glomerulus to form glomerular filtrate. Some of these molecules are later reabsorbed in the renal tubules.
