Hello!

Heat from the sun reaches the Earth by radiation. The heat we receive is mostly by UV rays (ultra violet rays). This is a form of radiation, and exposure to too much of it is harmful to us.

I hope this helps!

Smog usually forms from gound-level ozone and what other human-made pollutant?
Bingel [31]

This happens when pollutants emitted by cars, power plants, industrial boilers, refineries, chemical plants, and other sources chemically react in the presence of sunlight. Ozone at ground level is a harmful air pollutant, because of its effects on people and the environment, and it is the main ingredient in “smog."

Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

Your answer will be 118 cm^3.

Explanation:

V1/T1 = V2/T2, so V2 = V1T2/T1. 60C = 333K and 120C = 393K.

V2 = (100cm3)(393K)/(333K) = 118 cm3

How does an atom differ from a molecule?
blagie [28]

Answer:

A molecule is a bunch of atoms combined.

An atom is the smallest part of an element, that you can get without splitting the nucleus of the atom.

Molecules are made of more two or more atoms joined together. The atoms can be same or different elements. A single molecule is the smallest piece of matter you can have without changing its properties.

32,500 joules are used to boil a sample of water at its melting point what is the mass of the water?
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

43.18 gm

Explanation:

Heat of fusion of water at 0° C is 334  j/gm

 then you have to heat the water to boiling point (100 C)

    specific heat of water is 4.186 j/g-c

x = grams of water

x ( 334 + 4.186 (100) ) = 32500

x = 43.18 gm

How many moles of Kr are contained in 398 mg of Kr?
bagirrra123 [75]
The mass of 1 mole of an element is its atomic weight on the Periodic Table in grams.

1g = 1000mg

The mass of 1 mole of Kr = 83.80g Kr

Convert mg Kr to g Kr.

398mg Kr x (1g/1000mg) = 0.398g Kr

Convert g Kr to mol Kr.

0.398g Kr x (1mol Kr/83.80g Kr) = 4.75x10-3mol Kr
