Students at Hampton Middle School sold T-shirts as a school fundraiser. Sylvie asked 12 random seventh-grade students how many T

-shirts they sold for the fundraiser. The number of T-shirts each student sold is listed below.
3, 4, 8, 5, 2, 5, 0, 5, 3, 4, 3, 7

What is the mean of the data set rounded to the nearest tenth?
4.0 shirts

Answer:

4.1 shirts

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean can be found by adding all data points and dividing that by the total amount of data points.

There are 12 students selling shirt, which gives you 12 data points.

So (3+4+8+5+2+5+0+5+3+4+3+7)/12 = 4.083...

Which rounds to 4.1 shirts

For the first circle, let's use the pythagorean theorem

\bf \textit{using the pythagorean theorem}\\\\
c^2=a^2+b^2\implies c=\sqrt{a^2+b^2}
\qquad
\begin{cases}
c=hypotenuse\\
a=adjacent\\
b=opposite\\
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
c=\sqrt{8^2+15^2}\implies c=\sqrt{289}\implies c=17

now, it just so happen that the hypotenuse on that triangle, is actually 17, but we used the pythagorean theorem to find it, and the pythagorean theorem only works for right-triangles.

 so if the hypotenuse is actually 17, that means that triangle there is actually a right-triangle, meaning that the radius there, and the outside line there, are both meeting at a right-angle.

when an outside line touches the radius line, and they form a right-angle, the outside line is indeed a tangent line, since the point of tangency is always a right-angle with the radius.

now, let's check for second circle

\bf \textit{using the pythagorean theorem}\\\\
c^2=a^2+b^2\implies c=\sqrt{a^2+b^2}
\qquad
\begin{cases}
c=hypotenuse\\
a=adjacent\\
b=opposite\\
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
c=\sqrt{11^2+14^2}\implies c=\sqrt{317}\implies c\approx 17.8044938

well, low and behold, we didn't get our hypotenuse as 16 after all, meaning, that triangle is NOT a right-triangle, and that outside line is not touching the radius at a right-angle, therefore is NOT a tangent line.

let's check the third circle

\bf \textit{using the pythagorean theorem}\\\\
c^2=a^2+b^2\implies c=\sqrt{a^2+b^2}
\qquad
\begin{cases}
c=hypotenuse\\
a=adjacent\\
b=opposite\\
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
c=\sqrt{33^2+56^2}\implies c=\sqrt{4225}\implies c=\stackrel{33+32}{65}

this time, we did get our hypotenuse to 65, the triangle is a right-triangle, so the outside line is indeed a tangent line.

Find the measure of angel 3
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

100

Step-by-step explanation:

Remark

If two opposite arcs are given by being opposite vertically opposite angles, then the value of both the vertically opposite angles are equal to

Vertically opposite angle = 1/2 (arc1 + arc2)

Givens

Arc1 = 60

Arc2 = 100

Solution

The red dot angle = 1/2 (60 + 100)

The red dot angle = 1/2(160)

The red dot angle = 80

Because the red dot angle and <3 are on the same line with the same common point, they are supplementary.

<3 and red dot = 180

<3 + 80 = 180                          Subtract 80 from both sides

<3 = 180 - 80

<3 = 100

WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST! DUE TODAY! WILL GIVE EVERYTHING GOOD!!! HELPP!!! I REALLY NEED HELP ON THIS ONE!!!!
PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

So its pretty simple

The table provided the Xs so you can just substitute the x in the eqaution becuase the eqaution gives you Y and your looking for Y.

For the first one

-3/4*-16+3=y

12+3=15

So Y is 15

DO the same for the others

Also I think your rate of change is wrong, I think it’s -3/4 but your choice really, I might be wrong
