Use Desmos to graph all three absolute value functions on the same xy-plane.

The function y = |x| looks like the letter V where both lines meet at the origin.

I would recommend Desmos but |x| makes a parabola (which kinda looks like a V or U) and the number to the right would change where parabola is located on the graph. The point where it curves would be a y=1 and y=-2

If a student was randomly guessing while completing a 20 question multiple choice exam, what is the probability they would score
mario62 [17]

Answer:

you want 4 correct and 16 incorrect

there are 20 questions

each question has four answers, so

P(right answer) = 1/4

P(wrong answer) = 3/4

----

Since you want 4 correct of 20 we have a combination of 20C4

This is a binomial problem where p = 1/4, q = 3/4 and we get

(20 "choose" 4)*(probability correct)^(number correct)*(probability incorrect)^(number incorrect)

putting numbers in we get

(20c4)*(1/4)^4*(3/4)^16

This gives us

~ .189685

¿Cuántos litros de agua se precisa para llenar una piscina inflable de 1/4 de metro cúbico?
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

250 litters

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this question, we first need to know the conversion from cubic meter to liter.

1 cubic meter is equal to 1000 liters.

So, if we have 1/4 cubic meter, we can use a rule of three to find how many liters we will need:

1 m3 -> 1000 L

1/4 m3 -> x L

x * 1 = (1/4) * 1000

x = 1000 / 4 = 250 L

So we need 250 liters of water.
