Answer:

Solution given;

1st temperature [t1]=T

initial temperature [t2]=T+273°C

1st pressure [P]=P

and

initial pressure[P2]=P+20%of P=120/100V=1.2P

now

we have

According to Gay lussac's law

P\alpha T

\frac{P}{T}=K where k is constant

at 2 different states

\frac{P1}{T1}=\frac{P2}{T2}

  • \frac{P}{T}=\frac{1.2P}{T+273}

\frac{T+273}{T}=\frac{1.2P}{P}

doing crisscrossed multiplication

T+273=1.2T

273=1.2T-T

0.2T=273

T=\frac{273}{0.2}=1365°C or 1365K

<u>I</u><u>nitial temperature of the closed </u><u>vessel</u><u> </u><u>i</u><u>s</u><u> </u><u>1365°C or 1365</u><u>K</u><u>.</u>

In a chemical reaction, substance R reacts with compound XY to produce 47.0 g of compound RX. If the theoretical yield of RX is
larisa86 [58]
The percent yield of a chemical reaction is calculated by dividing the actual yield (determined through experimentation) by the theoretical yield (calculations). The percent yield is a great way of determining the efficiency of a reaction. For this problem, the percent yield is 83.93% as given by the solution:

% yield = (47/56)*100 = 83.93%

Chemical and physical properties for Benzoyl peroxide?
pishuonlain [190]
  1. <u>Physical Properties :</u>
  • It is a crystalline colorless solid structure it is soluble in solution such as ether, alcohol, and chloroform but insoluble in water.
  • It is dangerous when it is dry and is very volatile and decomposes when it reaches 103 c.

    2. <u>Chemical Properties :</u>

  • It causes swelling of the skin and undergoes free radical products that are highly reactive.
  • It is irritant when it contacts the skin it breaks down to yield oxygen and benzoic acid.

<u>Explanation:</u>

  • Benzoyl Peroxide is widely used in industry at large scale.
  • It is formed when there is a reaction between hydrogen peroxide and benzoyl chloride.
  • Benzoyl peroxide is used in bread and cheese as the bleaching agent and also used in cosmetics as hair coloring.
  • Because of its antibacterial property and a peroxide group it is applied to the human skin to treat acne.
