Answer:

\Huge\boxed{A=24.25}

Step-by-step explanation:

Herons Formula:

A=\sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

where s =  semi perimeter ( perimeter of triangle divided by 2)

and a,b and c = triangle side lengths

Before we can solve we need to calculate the semi perimeter

7 + 13 + 8 = 28

then we divide by 2

28/2=14

so the semi perimeter is 14

now we plug in everything into the formula

A=\sqrt{14(14-13)(14-8)(14-7)} \\14 - 13=1\\14-7=7\\14-8=6\\A=\sqrt{14(1)(6)(7)} \\14*1=14\\14*7=98\\98*6=588\\A=\sqrt{588} \\\sqrt{588} =24.24871131

so we can conclude that the area of the triangle is 24.24871131

our final step is to round to the nearest hundredth

A = 24.25

If a plant manufacturing carpet backing has a cylindrical tank that is 3 meters high and is 6 meters in diameter, what is the vo
Oksi-84 [34.3K]
Volume of a cylinder = cross sectional area * height
so...
height = 3m
cross sectional area = pi × radius^2
radius = 1/2 diameter
radius = 1/2 × 6 = 3
3.14 × 3^2
= 3.14 × 9
= 28.26
therefore...
volume of cylinder = 28.26 × 3
= 84.78 m^3
