A container with an initial volume of 1.0L is occupied by a gas at a pressure of 150kPa at 25'C. By changing the volume, the pre

ssure of the gas increases to 600kPa as the temperature is raised to 100'C. What is the new volume? Use Combined Gas Law

Answer:

Final Volume = 0.31L

Explanation:

Initial volume V1 = 1L

Initial pressure P1 = 150kPa

Initial temperature, T1 = 25'C + 273 = 298K

Final Pressure P2 = 600kPa

Final Temperature T2 = 100'C + 273 = 373K

Final Volume V2 = ?

The combined gas law is given as;

P1V1 / T1  = V2P2 / T2

150 * 1 / 298 = V2 * 600 / 373

V2 = 55950 / 178800 = 0.31L

What are the 9 properties of minerals and explain each property?
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

hardness-Hardness is the ability of a material to resist deformation

luster-the way light interacts with the surface of a crystal

color-the quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object

streak- the color of the powder produced when it is dragged across an un-weathered surface.

specif gravity-the density of that object divided by the density of water cleavage -the tendency of a mineral to break along smooth planes

fracture-any separation in a geologic formation

tenacity-refers to a mineral's toughness or resistance to breaking or being deformed.

Which diagram shows electrons violating the Pauli exclusion principle?
Neporo4naja [7]
Correct Answer: Option C

Reason:
<span>The </span>Pauli Exclusion Principle<span> states as '<em>in an atom or molecule, no two electrons can have the same four electronic quantum numbers. Further, an orbital can contain a maximum of only two electrons, the two electrons must have opposing spins.</em>'
</span>
Thus, it can be seen that in option C, electrons in last 2 subshell have electrons with same spin, which is a violation of Pauli Exclusion Principle .
