Since temperature and kinetic energy of molecules are proportional, the more we increase the temperature of the solvent, the faster the solute will dissolve.

This increase of kinetic energy allows the solvent molecules to more effective break apart the solvent molecules that are held together by intermolecular forces.

Explanation:

Temperature is directly proportional to the rate of dissolution.

That is,      Temperature \propto rate of dissolution

This means that more is the temperature more quickly the solute is able to dissolve in the solvent.

For example, sugar will dissolve in hot water more quickly as compared to water at room temperature.
