The right answer is mitosis.

Mitosis is a cell division. Mitosis is a process common to all eukaryotic cells.

In animals, successive mitoses make it possible to pass from a single egg cell to an adult organism made up of billions of cells. Mitoses also intervene in the permanent renewal of the cells of any individual and help to keep his cells all genetically identical to each other.

Mitosis, as a cell gives two daughter cells with the number of chromosome in daughter cells remaining same as that of parent, hence also known as equational cell division.

Does the process of glycolysis require an input of energy? provide specific evidence from model 1 to support your answer.
borishaifa [10]

Yes. In the beginning, glycolysis requires 2 ATP molecules. One ATP allows for the phosphorylation of the glucose molecule to fructose-6-phosphate and another phosphorylation to fructose-1, 6-biphosphate. The fructose-1, 6- bisphosphate is then cleaved into two glyceraldehyde-3-phosphates that then enter the energy generating part of the glycolysis biochemical reaction.

If a particular strand of DNA is found to be 27% adenine, how much guanine would it contain
Naddika [18.5K]

Answer:

You have 20% of adenine. If you have 20% of adenine than you have 20% of thymine, because the amount of adenine and thymine is equal. 20% plus 20% is 40% of adennine and thymine. From 100% DNA bases subtract 40% and you will get 60%. Then divide this by 2 and you will get 30%. 30% of guanine and 30% of cytosine, because their amounts are equal in the DNA stand.

At which point in mitosis does a cleavage furrow form?
Aliun [14]

In cell biology, the cleavage furrow is the indentation of the cell's surface that begins the progression of cleavage, by which animal and some algal cells undergo cytokinesis, the final splitting of the membrane, in the process of cell division.
